The Monsters’ Dance takes place in the forest tonight! Who will be the Monsteracious Mover and overall winner? It could be any of the monsters that have appeared over the last couple of weeks, but of course there are more mighty monsters competing than you can shake a monsteracious stick at! There are even a couple of late entries and one of those it a complete mystery…
Oh the monsters are excited! Jenny, Ben, Tabitha and George are ready to go and make their monsteracious discoveries. Of course they are still a little bit concerned that monsters eat children. They have taken some very special precautions to try to stop that happening…
So with all of the Monsteracious mayhem about to erupt… We need a map! How else are we supposed to discover the secret location of the monster pit?
Now before you decide to gate-crash this monumental monsteracious party, don’t think you can turn up as a human. Don’t you know that monsters choose who can see them and they don’t want to end up all over social media at the mere glimpse of them! What you are probably completely unaware of is that there are some rather avid watchers in the forest who will alert monster security if they notice so much as a whiff of a human and humans are ridiculously whiffacious!
So if you want to join in then you are going to have to come up with something very creative and you will have to come up with your own monsters dance! Oh yes… they will know you aren’t a monster if you don’t pull some marvellously monstery moves. Monsters love to dance and floating about the edge of a monster pit tapping your feet and sipping a drink will reveal an imposter in a second… So my darlings – the longest night will be filled with monster celebrations and there will be a MONSTERS’ DANCE winner but who?

Oh and a huge thank you to Robin Dry for illustrating The Monsters’ Dance.
Thank you to Roland Dry for working on the images.
Finally thank you to Lynda Shea for proofreading and pointing out some obvious things that I would have missed!
Oh… what am I thinking? Thank you to all you lovely people who have listened to me endlessly discussing monsters… Yep… I know it can be quite an odd conversation, but that is what makes it fun! The ‘if you were going to be a monster what would you be?’ and how would you dance?’ was quite an inspiration!
Oh and I almost forgot – thank you to all the monsters for showing me their very fun and bizarre dance moves!
Love you all (especially the monsters)!
