Cruising can be precarious and unpredictable. There is always the potential for a storm to rear its windy head which means ports can be missed. The thing is no Captain wants to miss a port and they certainly don’t want to put passengers in peril when there are tender ports with huge waves. Admittedly there have been times when the ship has been at anchor and returning the passengers to the ship has been terrifying. Literally throwing passengers from tender to ship to get them back on board is not a pass time that I would recommend.
With that in mind, there is usually good reason a port is missed but unfortunately it is often the case that the particular missing port was the one the guests had come on the cruise for. Enjoy…
